Going into the 2023 football season, LSU Wire will be looking at each player listed on the Tigers’ roster.

Over the preseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for Brian Kelly this season.

We’re coming down the home stretch of the roster, and one player we haven’t looked at yet is redshirt freshman defensive tackle Tygee Hill, a New Orleans native with a massive frame who could ultimately prove to be a difference-maker for the Tigers in Year 2.

Class in 2022: Freshman

Played in three games for the Tigers last season.

LSU’s defensive line is a strength of the team both in terms of top-end talent and depth, which will make it difficult for any redshirt freshman in the room to see the field in 2023. With the addition of some key transfers, it may be even tougher for him to find playing time.
